What is Catharsis Erotica all about?
Catharsis Erotica is all about certain 'alternative fetishes'. There is
no one under 18 here, no animals, no real abuse or real pain.
Everything is
staged by professional actresses who are well paid for their time. We
have
fun with what we do and you can see that in much of the material we
produce. Many of our scenes are comedic in nature and most of those
that are not overtly comedic are at least tongue-in-cheek, B grade
campy. We do for the most part 'black box theater', where the focus is
entirely upon the acting. Most of our scenes happen on a very
minimalist stage. This is largely for cost reasons as it enables us to
produce quickly and to concentrate our limited resources on what
counts, quality acting. While our material is adult in nature, often
having full nudity, there is no sex in our productions whatsoever.
Also, the vast majority of our scenes are female/female.
Our video productions are shot and edited to create very believable
action and acting, we do not just let the camera roll for minutes at a
time and improvise. Attention is paid to proper sound effects when
necessary and very occasionally, digital special effects. We do not
pad our productions with boring filler. We believe you would rather
have a really well done four minute video that gets to the point than
have to download a twelve minute video that ultimately bores you.
At the moment, the Catharsis Erotica web site is very minimalist
(that's being generous). It is quite simply a primitive graphical
interface that interacts with a database allowing for video archives to
be rotated appropriately. We will be prettying things up as the
membership grows and we can afford the services of a decent web site
artist.
What do we mean by 'beta' site?
The site is under construction. It looks messy, has no graphical
frills, contains lots of bugs and not all planned features are enabled.
However
it is a lot easier to fix bugs if we have a community of people
informing us which ones aught to have priority as well as informing us
which of many unimplemented features we should enable first.
Why should I join a beta site?
We could really use your money. ;-) Plus it's not expensive.
While the site is in beta we are only charging xxxxx a month! (Later
the price will rise , depending on features
enabled.)
Other than that, the beta site does have the one single most important
element of the site functioning right now; The daily video updates are
functioning. Other features will be enabled shortly. We expect to
have the photostory updates functioning within days of launch for
instance.
What can I expect if I
join?
Every day, a new video is made available to the members for download.
That's right, one video a day! Videos stay accessible for 30 days. Two
of those weekly videos are absolutely original videos, never before
posted anywhere. Two videos are from our video archives which will
slowly cycle and ultimately repeat. (The new videos get added to the
archives after 30 days and ultimately will be repeated when the archive
has cycled all the way through. Our archives are currently large enough
that archive videos shouldn't repeat for at least a year.) Two other
weekly videos are much simpler, shorter scenes (budget productions)
that are still fun to watch. Some of those 'little' 'quick' videos have
previously appeared elsewhere and would be technically 'archive'
videos. However as they are quick to shoot, we intend to add a dozen
more to our reserve every time we have a new actress, so often these
will be never before seen videos. Finally one video a week is taken
from the Pay-Per-View listing and retired, being made available to the
members for viewing, following which it is added to the archives.
Photostories will be added shortly to the site. There will be one
photostory update per day. All photostories are taken from our
archives, we are not planning on shooting original photostory content
for this site. However our archives of photostories are sufficiently
large that they will not repeat for at least three years. These
photostories average 80 plus photos and as often as not have text
accompanying them (photo comics of sorts). We are hoping at some point
to add a feature that will allow members to add story texts to existing
photosets.
We are attempting to get a decent, modern message forum implemented and
expect to have that functioning shortly. We are also working on the
idea of live video chat with our actresses. The idea right now is to
have a
two hour time slot each week where one of the Catharsis actresses will
be in front of a camera chatting live with all members who tune in at
that time. (We'll probably rotate the time slot somewhat.) This will be
an opportunity for the members to get to know the actresses, to share
ideas for future scenes (giving her tips as to how you would prefer for
her to enact those scenes) as well as perhaps, to get her to act out
some of your fantasies right there during the live chat. We will also
try to implement some sort of private chat feature where you can book
time all to yourself with some of our actresses. This however will not
be free, it will have a rather hefty charge associated with it.
There will soon also be a blooper section. Videos in the blooper
section will never time out and could over time grow into quite a large
selection. (Our actresses make a lot of bloopers. ;-)
Pay-Per-View?
The Pay-Per-View section will be with us shortly. (Technically we
should probably
call them Pay-Per-Download, as you can watch the downloads as often as
you like without having to pay each time.) This section doesn't contain
many videos at the time of the launch of this Beta site as we are
concentrating on getting the member video section complete first.
However soon enough the entire Catharsis Pay-Per-View listing will be
available for members to peruse and purchase here. These videos are
available through other sites as well as here. Pay-Per-View was
originally conceived as a means to give our actresses extra work (and
therefor revenue) so I expect we will continue to add to the PPV
section over time.
